Almost certainly not. A UK medical policy and travel insurance do different jobs, and only one of them covers you in Spain.
What the policy documents actually say
AXA Health does not cover treatment received outside the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man. Aviva states it does not pay for treatment outside the UK. Neither is ambiguous, and neither is a travel policy.
WPA is the exception among the documents we hold, offering overseas emergency treatment as a paid option at two levels — up to 35 or 70 days per trip, capped at 180 days a year and either £250,000 or £500,000. Even that excludes the USA and its dependencies, and winter sports resorts, which are the two places people most often need it.
The distinction matters because the products cover different events. Travel insurance handles emergencies abroad, repatriation and cancellation. A UK medical policy handles planned private treatment in the UK for conditions arising after cover starts. Holding one does not reduce the need for the other.
Residency conditions bite separately. The Exeter requires the legal right to reside in the UK and physical residence for at least 180 days of each policy year, which catches extended stays that are not emigration.
If you are travelling, buy travel insurance. If you have a UK policy with an overseas option, read what it excludes before assuming it substitutes.

The limit behind every answer here
None of this reaches a condition you already have. Cover is written for problems that arise after it starts, so anything you have symptoms of when you apply is excluded — permanently under full medical underwriting, or until a symptom-free period has passed under a moratorium. Chronic conditions are excluded by every insurer whose wording we hold. Figures quoted come from current policy documents and change at renewal, so check the document you are actually offered.
